The Partner Candidate Engagement Advisor is a contributor role, which acts as the engine room of the recruitment process, driving and curating a constant pipeline of candidates. You will be responsible for conducting a full suite of research activities, from market mapping, developing candidate pools in key growth areas and capabilities to tracking and managing candidate progress, as well as developing and managing internal pipelines.


  • Conduct proactive headhunting and approaching top talent Partner candidates directly as a firm
  • Deliver market mapping and candidate research to the Partner Hire recruiters and the business 
  • Leverage Deloitte website and ATS system for direct applicants, as well as social media and the 3rd party tools available 
  • Develop candidate pools in key growth or capability areas based on demand 
  • Ensure longlists/shortlists are inclusive and meet our D&I commitments 
  • Develop internal pipelines and candidate pools, driving internal mobility opportunities for our people 
  • Develop competitor market intel to support hiring decisions, reward and potential M&A discussions
  • Develop a robust system of tracking candidate progress and rejection/decline rates and the associated reasons and ensure all candidate details are uploaded to the ATS and up-to-date/accurate
  • Leverage external market mapping and 3rd party solutions / opportunities 
  • Support the development of brand and campaign material 
  • Advise upon the user experience for Partner applicants from an attraction, assessment and on-boarding perspective
  • Support the management of candidates from external suppliers and internal routes and manage candidate relationships / satisfaction through the recruitment process up to CV forwarding stage 
  • Ensure consistency of approach, execution and delivery across all Partner Hiring and follow the firm’s partnership governance
  • Maintain relationships with supporting research teams to ensure appropriate sharing of talent pools and market intel

Connect to your skills and professional experience

  • Ability to understand Capability Leads / Hiring Managers’ business and hiring needs, job specifications and turn these into tangible solutions 
  • Ability to support the recruiter team on job briefings, translating key business intel into candidate briefing documents, creating a job library for current and future hiring needs. 
  • Exposure to Partner level Search assignments, within a large multi-service line business or Executive Search firm
  • Awareness and understanding of skills, trends and market knowledge as well as in-depth knowledge and expertise in specific capability areas  
  • Proven ability to be pro-active in engaging stakeholders and candidates over the telephone and face-to-face and conduct in-depth research to source candidates 
  • Ability to execute innovative recruiting strategies to find top talent
  • Ability to communicate with and interview senior level candidates
  • Ability to use and manage specialist systems such as ATS 
  • Experience producing documentation for senior stakeholders 
  • Language skills would be advantageous but not essential

Location: The home office of this role is flexible, however there would be a requirement for the role holder to be able to travel to London when required.
